The way we are planning to take the game is that all mana based games will pick the server. They then download the branding.xml file from the update server of the server they wish to join. This means that all mana based games can use the exact same client. Also this allows players to know of other servers that might exist.

At this point there should be little reason to continue your own repo of the client software.

In a discussion in irc we came up with three possibilities how to deactivate the loading of the server list:

1. If for the sever list a wired value like "." is given, then the list gets not loaded.

2. We add the extra option "UseServerlist". Only if it is set to true, the server list gets loaded.

3. We remove in the client the default for the server list. Then a server list gets only loaded if it it provided in the branding. Actually the client does not really lose its default, because we ship a branding with our distribution.

Please comment on it.
(I think number 3 is the best. If no other preferences are voiced within 10 days, then I assign it to me and do the implementation.)

Unsetting target release. For 1.0, the more straight-forward route was chosen of making the location from where the server list is downloaded configurable through the branding file.

Actually, this was fixed in 1.0. If you set the server list to an empty string, nothing will be shown and the dialog will be bypassed. Leaving out the option will use Manasource's server list.
